The software tools that we will be using are called Quartus II Web Edition from Altera. It is installed on selected PCs in the EWS labs as well as in our ECE385 lab and the ECE Student Lounge. It can also be freely downloaded on your PC. However, the installation takes up almost a Gigabyte of hard disk space; the installer download itself is 458 MB. Refer to the Simple Design in VHDL (lab manual page IVT.16) for full installation instructions.
