About the Labs

Labs will meet in room 268 Everitt Lab. They consist of two-hour lab sections at either 8-10 am, 10-12 am, 1-3 pm or 3-5 pm on Fridays, where students will conduct experiments in audio and image processing, design digital systems, and write Web server scripts. Students are expected to attend the lab section for which they have registered. Students are expected to read the laboratory assignment instructions and complete the prelab activities before coming to classes with laboratory sessions. To use the computers in the laboratory students must first choose an Active Directory password at http://accounts.ad.uiuc.edu.

Grading

Your TA will check your work and assign your grade before you leave for the day. The labs will account for 15% of your semester grade (equivalent to the homeworks). Typically, the grade will be a 1 for "satisfactory" or a 0 for "not satisfactory." On occassion, a 0.5 may be assigned for effort.
