About Peer-Led Team Learning

Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL) is a pedagogy in which students work in small groups under the supervision of a peer leader. PLTL has been successfully implemented in many disciplines at many colleges and universities. Results suggest that PLTL improves student learning more effectively than traditional discussion sessions.
