Grading

Graded events in this course will be weighted as follows:

• Homework: 5%
• Projects: 25%
• Exams:
  • Midterm 1: 20%
  • Midterm 2: 20%
  • Final: 25%
• Subjective evaluation: 5%

Grades are posted on Compass as soon as they are available. Additionally, as MPs are graded, you should receive e-mail reports that break down the specifics of how your MP scored, including a snapshot of the differences between your output and our output. If you get an MP grade on Compass but do not receive an e-mail shortly after, contact your section TA.

Regrade requests must be submitted to your TA in writing on a separate sheet of paper within one week of the day that the assignment being regraded was returned (this date is not extended if you miss section on the day of return). For any reason other than mistakes in addition on our part, you must explain why your answer merits more points. Any portion of an assignment for which you request a regrade may be regraded (in addition to those that you request), which can result in an overall reduction in your assignment grade. Note that in addition to submitting your request on a separate sheet of paper, you may not write on the original assignment for any reason. We reserve the right to refuse regrade requests for modified assignments.
