Welcome to ECE205 Homepage
Please read the following page before starting your homework assignment.
-
The homework and quiz problems are located on Mallard, a
WWW-based education system developed at the SLOAN Center for Asynchronous
Learning.
-
You can access Mallard by clicking the link on the left side
of this homepage. The login name and password should be the same as your
NetID and password for the CCSO dialup servers.
-
After login to Mallard, click on the Lessons Page
icon to see the howework sets. You can familiarize yourself with Mallard
style questions by trying the Introduction to Mallard questions
first.
-
In each homework assignment, there are five or six homework problems and
one quiz problem. You can do the problems in any order without being penalized.
In order to receive full credit for a problem, you must answer all questions
in that problem correctly.
-
The numbers in the problems are randomly generated. You will always
see the same parameters after you submit the problem for at least once.
-
Each submission results in a new grade. To re-do a problem, use the Back
button of the browser.
-
You will have 20 chances to do a homework problem and 10
chances for a quiz problem. The computer will record the highest score
from all your attempts. 10% deduction will be applied to your score each
time after the limit number of submissions.
-
For each problem, take note of the due date/time shown to the right of
the problem title. Late homework on Mallard within one week after the due
date is subject to 50% penalty. All answers submitted after that will not
be recorded.
-
If the answer is a fraction, the tolerance is set to 3% of the correct
answer.
-
This WWW-based homework system is still under development, we'd appreciate
your comments and suggestions.
