Final Project - In-class Demos

• Introduce and describe the project
  • Introduce the problem

• Demonstrate your running program
  • Show how the program works.
  • Highlight the technical challenges
  • PC's from lab will be brought into classroom.
  • Output will be displayed on large projection screen.
  • Describe your software design.
  • Each team member should describe his/her work

• Summarize your accomplishments
  • What parts of project used existing code
  • What parts of project were based on existing code
  • What parts of project were original work

• Friendly words of advice
  • Plan your time well.
  • Organize your talk to fit into 6 minutes
    
  • Be sure that your software is ready to run
  • Your peers are the technical audience.
  • Allow for up to 3 minutes of questions

Final Project - Evaluations

• Peer Evaluation Forms
  • Evaluate each team (0..10) for Technical merit.
  • Evaluate each team (0..10) for Accomplishments.
    Demo score = 80 * (Technical Merit + Accomplishments)/20 points.
  • Enter specific remarks (constructive criticism) about each project
  • Evaluate your own contribution
  • Evaluate each member of your teams contribution
  • Electronically submit on Thursday evening.

• Grades & Prizes
  • Scores will be posted on-line by early next week
  • Watch newsgroups for prizes (as tabulated from evaluation forms)

Final Project - Final Submission

• Finalize and re-submit Project Writeup
  • Describe changes and what was actually accomplished
  • Print Relevant sections of source code
