Lab:

Initial Design and simulation.

Week 2

Prelab:

Compute bias component values.
Determine circuit models for all 2-terminal components.

Lab:

Measure and model transformer.
Simulation of amplifier with non-ideal component models.
Check performance and make modifications/improvements to the amplifier.

Week 3

Prelab:

None.

Lab:

Construct the amplifier and measure S-parameters.
Verify stability.

Week 4

Prelab:

Read Course Notes regarding gain compression, intermodulation distortion,
and noise figure. Write a brief (5-lines each) summary of the measurement.

Lab:

Measurement of gain compression.
Measurement of intermodulation distortion.
Measurement of noise figure.
