Here's how you will do layout extraction for your final project (and remaining hw's); first because the design kit references a capacitor model from it's library which doesn't have any simulation components, you will need to download another altered rules file and put it in the directory that holds your library. divaEXT_ECE482.txt

That was the hard part. From now on, whenever you perform extraction from layout you just need to use the new EXT file, but before doing the actual extraction hit the "Set Switches" button and from the menu that pops up select 'Extract_parasitic_caps'. Now perform the rest of the extraction procedure as you normally would.
