10% class participation (scribing notes)

Depending on class size each student will be assigned to scribe notes for 2 or 3 lectures; to improve and expand on the existing notes.

There will be 3 or 4 sets.

The goal is to investigate novel ideas in the area via semester-long research project. Possible project types include

bulding a real system using a robotics kit and verifying it,
developing a software tool for modeling/verification,
solving a theoretical problem.

While some project ideas and start-up packages will be provided, you are welcome to design a suitable project around your own research.

brief (2 page) plan for the project by 4th week
20-25 min end of the term presentation
conference paper (6-8 pages)
